Homeownership Equity Program

Cornerstone Housing Partners is now partnering with Champlain Housing Trust to provide a $25,000 forgivable loan to buyers who are Black, Indigenous or a person of color, in addition to the 20-35% down payment Shared Equity grant that comes with purchasing a shared equity property. To be eligible for the Homeownership Equity Program the buyer:

• Must purchase a home through the Shared Equity program.
• Have a household income at or below 120% of the area median income.
• Be a first-time home buyer.
• Have at least one prospective property owner identify as BIPOC.
